In order to create a clean and tidy, comfortable and beautiful environment to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Rudong Tianheng’s sanitation workers remained on duty during the holidays so as to cater to greater demands of cleaning and waste collection for the city’s holidaymakers.
Facing a surge in waste volume, sanitation workers were spread through streets and alleys to ramp up cleaning work. Public toilet cleaners increased the frequency of cleaning to ensure good maintenance and hygiene in public restrooms. River cleaners worked day and night to salvage wastes floating on the river surfaces, brightening up the city landscape.
During the holiday period, Rudong Tianheng increased the frequency of waste removal from dumpsters, fruit bins, waste transfer stations on the main and secondary roads, collecting more than 200 tons of waste generated every day. The transfer driver marked a mileage of more than 6500km, with a daily transfer of over 800 tons of waste and 120 tons of leachate.
For the holiday period, Rudong Tianheng increased machine operation coverage, enhanced the quality of sanitation by conducting mechanical sweeping, sprinkler, rinsing dust, and fast pick up. High-pressure flushing was conducted every day on the main and secondary roads as well as on the pavements.
In Juegang streets, Chengzhong streets, Dayu township, Chahe Township and other places implementing urban and rural sanitation integration, Rudong Tianheng maintained same sanitation standards in road cleaning, waste collection, dust suppression, river management, public toilet maintenance and sanitation facility maintenance.
